Added in 3.2, this variable controls the shadow optimization feature, which prevents flickering of the shadows.
- 0 - Off
- 1 - On (Default)
This cvar was fixed in 3.2.2, so that users with older drivers won't need to worry about flickering shadows. It's good news for the older ATI cards that aren't receiving driver updates anymore.
This change should result in a slight fps increase.
